Foundling Audio Labs was created to offer all the essential qualities of handmade, tube-based audio equipment at an unpretentious price point. We believe great sound should not be the sole prerogative of the wealthy, and that more accessibility to tube gear will only strengthen the continuing appreciation of these devices for generations to come.
Our Approach
We are not necessarily interested in reproducing museum pieces precisely as they once were, but rather in creating practical items that are better suited to a user's needs today. Foundling's unique, original designs are elegantly and unapologetically simple, and thus beautiful examples of what makes tube sound so incomparable. Our goal is a versatility and usability that lives up to the legendary originals, but also improves upon their often temperamental nature.
Our Quality
With a gentle and iconoclastic pushback against common notions of magic and fad-driven myths, our components are carefully selected and artfully combined based on tangible results from exhaustive R&D. In an age of oft-repeated nonsense and poorly-informed internet lore, we honor our ears above all else.
